Seller Terms

These terms apply to anyone who sells on the Gelllez Shop. By applying to sell you agree to them, together with our Terms, Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds and Delivery policies.

Verification

Every seller is verified by the Gelllez team before listing anything. You must give your true legal name, address and phone number, a valid government ID (for example your National Identification Number or passport), a photo of yourself holding that ID, and a bank account in your own name. Companies must give their CAC registration number, the CAC certificate and a recent CAC status report showing the directors, their tax identification number (TIN), proof of the registered address, and the ID and selfie of a director or authorised representative; their bank account must be in the registered company name. Individuals must also give proof of their home address. The same ID or CAC number cannot be used for more than one seller account. Nobody can sell or list until the Gelllez admin has completed these checks and approved the account. We may check these details with the issuing authorities and may ask for more documents at any time. We may refuse or end an application without giving a detailed reason where fraud or safety is a concern. Your identity documents are stored privately and used only for verification, fraud prevention and legal compliance.

Your listings

• List only items you own or are authorised to sell, that are lawful to sell in Nigeria, and that are genuine (no counterfeits or copies).
• Describe each item honestly and completely, with photos of the real item. Do not use invented discounts, reviews or claims.
• Gelllez reviews every new listing and every change to the title, photos, description, category or price before it appears in the shop. We may reject or remove any listing.
• Prohibited items include weapons, drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, unsafe or regulated goods without the required approval, and anything else we tell you about. Keep your stock counts accurate.

Commission

Gelllez keeps a percentage of the item price of every sale as its commission. The percentage depends on the product category and is shown in your seller account before you list. The rate that applies to an order is the rate in force when the order is placed. The delivery fee paid by the shopper is not part of your sale and is not commissionable. Gelllez may change its rates by updating them in your seller account; changes apply to new orders only.

Orders, delivery and payouts

Shoppers pay Gelllez at checkout. Delivery of seller items is arranged as agreed with Gelllez. Your earnings for an order (the item price less commission) become available for payout after the order is marked delivered. Gelllez pays available earnings to the verified bank account in your name; it may hold or reduce a payout to cover refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fees you owe, or suspected fraud. If an order is refunded, your earnings for it are removed, and if they were already paid out we may deduct them from future payouts.

Returns and disputes

Shoppers have the return and refund rights described in our Returns & Refunds policy. You agree to accept returns and refunds under that policy for items you sold.

Suspension

We may suspend or close a seller account, hide its listings and withhold payouts pending an investigation if we believe these terms, the law or shopper safety is at risk. You may close your account by writing to support@gelllez.com; we will pay out what is owed after outstanding orders are settled.

Taxes

You are responsible for your own taxes on your sales. Gelllez may report seller earnings where the law requires.
